Please forgive the randomness in this edition of Julian’s Photo Journal. I’ve been containing these journals to a specific event or activity, but this time around it’s all over the place. From the comforts of the Bowen household, to crazy storm clouds over the plains, a trip to Horsetooth Reservoir, and some much-needed crew photos, you’ll find shots here from all corners of the Colorado experience thus far. Enjoy!
A window star in Joan’s clinic. I thought the way the light hit made the star appear part of the window glass.
Despite my horrendous allergies, Kling-on is my favorite cat in the house.
I never thought the milk shed could look so epic. The lime green exterior mixed with the deep orange sunset reflection proved me wrong.
Joan shows us how to clip a goat’s hooves. Hooves are made of the same materials that our fingernails come from, making this a virtually painless experience for the goat.
Breaking through to the cleaner layers.
Those are some clean hooves.
Vicki Larson – the matriarch of the kind and dedicated Larson family, who have so generously let the Goat Show Doc crew track their experience during National’s. Thank you!!!
Hannah Larson – expert show woman and a natural on-camera presence gives us the low-down on the Larson goat herd.
Trevor and Dimitri setting up a shot.
A GoPro camera mounted on Dimitri’s boom pole has proved to be one of the most amusing parts of the filming experience so far.
Helena’s flowery sunglasses.
Maybe it’s Maybelline.
Raindrops start to fall on the early days of the show.
Gray syies gather above the tents at The Ranch.
Among the craziest, most frightening storm clouds I’ve ever seen. This photo really does no justice.
Out the window at the coming storm.
Luckily the sky cleared.
Horsetooth Reservoir in hazy dusk-light.
A couple takes a dip in Horsetooth on the 4th of July.
Dimitri takes in the view and a sip of beer on the bouldered shores of Horsetooth Reservoir.
Definitely the most out of place shot, but I had to end the journal this way. Promote the goat! And stop by our show booth to buy a shirt!
Thanks for clicking, everybody! #5 is just a few days away. I’ll be posting my favorite shots from the actual show experience!
